The Dinner Thread
Not sure if anybody else has any culnary interest, but I figured I'd start this thread anyway...
Last time I posted food, it was Cedar Plank Garlic & Herb Salmon:
Tonight is "Porkgasm" night featuring Smoked Ham, Mennonite Sausage, Hot Italian Sausage, and Triple Smoked Bacon:
I think the wife may be steaming some sort of vegetable to compliment the assortment of meat, but I've been eating veggies all week, so we're just going to ignore the greens for today
So, is anybody else into customizing the dinner plates, when you're not working on your Jeeps? Or is it just me?
Later.

Thought I'd revive this thread...
Tonight was a pair of steaks, with some tomato topped with bocochini cheese, and a balsamic reduction sauce, and fresh basil and oregano with some yam fries and regular fries on the side.
Oh, and a Beer for me, and a Strawberry Margarita for the wife...
Later.

It took alot of practice to get it looking somewhat good. This was probably my 32nd or 33rd time (i lost count). I had trouble with the first 10 or so dinners I made until 4.3L XJ brought up the idea of using cold water, which keeps the rice from sticking to everything it touches and then it became so much easier to make.

Well, I figured I'd revive this thread again. For dinner tonight I made NY strip, garlic smashed red potatoes, and steamed veggies. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic...

More cedar-planked salmon, with local produce and shrimp caesar salad - how can that go wrong?
