Default Drunk driver visits me

Well I just got power back on, as well as the 4 square blocks around me.
Woke up to this at 3 am this morning. Took out a huge transformer, a street light, a phone and cable junction box, fire hydrant and about 80 feet of fence.
Dude was amazingly uninjured.

This is the neighbors yard, not mine thank goodness.

So I guess the message here is don't drive under the influence.

To tell you the truth I wasn't reaching for the camera at 3 in the morning when I was wrenched out of my bed by what seemed like the end of times....LOL. I took those this morning about 8 am.

As for the vehicle................built Ram tough got put to the test. It was a Ram 1500. The guy must have been hauling butt.

Aw, come on I've seen tornadoes do more damage then that! But seriously, it does seem like the driver doesn't get hurt or not too bad, strange huh? What's the Gump-ism - Stupid is as stupid does.

I knew someone who got away with drunk driving "murder" back in the 1870's.

Back then, the cops didn't even check to see if his breath smelled like alcohol.

After six years of living with guilt & getting no sleep, he took his own life.

He ruined the lives of many people, because of a six pack of Bud.

thats what happend to my grandfather

only it was the ladys second offense (of unintentional manslaughter or somthing to that effect) and she still only got probation.

10 years later and she was on the news for her 3rd offense for the same thing and this time it was a cop... and still only got probation... some people deserve to go to jail

Damn dude, good thing the Jeep wasn't in the way...

Some people are only alive because their stupidity hasn't caught up yet.

Glad you're alright. That's terrible. Do you have an estimate of the total damage caused?
