Default Finally started my pond

As some of you may know, I got a pond a while back. Well today I finally dug the hole for it. Tomorrow I am going down to the local river and grabbing some river rocks and some pond plants

Let the obsession begin. I have 2 ponds. The main one and the second one is affectionately known as "The Ghetto pond". Which is a quarantine area to make sure new fish are not sick before they go into the big pond. It's just a 100 gallon livestock water tank. It has its own filter system.

I'm not sure how to set up a filter. I was just going to use my pool pump with no filter for circulation and a bio filter, but I am not sure how to make one. And yes, I already plan on a bigger pond and I haven't even finished setting it up

I use a bio filter. Check out Skippy's Koi pond page. Lots of info on setting up ponds and filters. You can even call and talk to them. Good people. It think they are from Michigan.

Chicken coupe is like 20 feet to the left of it. That's a dog house next to it. I filled the pond and got some pond plants. My dog ate the plants and the pond drained out as it had a crack I didn't see. I picked up a pump, so after Im done installing my security system tomorrow, ill get the pond done finally. Still need to get rocks and gravel for my bio filter and waterfall. Then more plants for the filter and another fish so my girl isn't lonely. I will definitely post progress pics when I get to it
