The funny thing I've found about that is that it's almost always people who haven't had it done that make the most noise about how it shouldn't be done. If it were so bad wouldn't the people who have had it done be screaming the loudest???
Just something I've noticed...

Good Lord man - there are threads going on several other boards that I frequent about how circumcision should be allowed, how it should be mandated, and how it should be banned. Sometimes I just want to shoot everyone and start over, y'know? The worst part about the whole deal is that both sides want laws to cover their 'respective' points of view. Like we need any more laws...

The separation of church and state protects the covenant. I don't understand what the big deal is. You want it? Sweet! You don't? Sweet!
What a man and his willy have got to do with me is beyond my comprehension.

Do you know where the phrase "separation of Church and State" came from?
One line from a letter to a Baptist minister that was concerned about the Federal Government doing a "Church of England" deal on American citizens; establishing a government run denomination.
And Jefferson said it couldn't happen according to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
Circumcision was an outward ritual to be done by the Hebrews as a sign of faithfulness in Jehovah. It doesn't apply to anyone else in a religious sense.
But, in a medical sense, it reduced disease transmission among the Hebrews by letting the genital area be kept cleaner.
Many of those old Hebrew laws allowed them to enjoy a healthier life than their neighbors ... which allowed Abraham's small tribe to grow into a powerful nation in just a few hundred years.

In a nutshell:
The ancient Hebrews had hygiene levels ten times higher than anyone else of the era.

Hence the reference to the covenant.
The separation of church and state is not only to prevent the head of state from also being the head of religion, but also to not discriminate against one religion by stipulating the state does not endorse any religion.

I've never ran into a single one when I was fishing, or one that offered me a gun. I stand by my statement, and no Budd I don't hate you. The only thing I hate are squirrels in my yard and even then I'm not to proactive about getting them out. Let them have the trees I just wish they would leave the garden alone.
