Local Wrecking Yards loaded with XJ's...
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but...
So, I live in the San Francisco Bay area..
We are blessed with crazy good weather most of the time. I have 6-10 wrecking yards within 30 minutes. One in particular has 9 XJ's + currently and at least 8 YJ's. Another has at least 6 now.
Of course they have been picked at but as an example, we just pulled a clean (after steam cleaning) Grey carpet set for Heathers Grey Jeep. no mildew, still has clean and dry under layment, and heat shielding all intact, it cost us $20 I got two Cruise Control stalks. working with most of the printing $4ea
So I have no interest in going into the parts business, but i can take pics, post them, and since I'm there about every weekend I could help folks out.

No Problem, PM me what you are looking for, price range, and when/how you want to get it. I will be going this weekend to look for some parts myself. If i get your message before i go I will take pictures of the cars there and get price range. I know CA has a law that if the vehicle was involved in any form of fatality it cannot be resold, but other than that it should be no problem.

i am in dire need of an obd2 plug. my vehicle is a 96 produced on 9-18-95. when I fixed the holes in the floorboard the lower dash panel had to come out. it looks like the obd2 plug went into the wiring harness via a connector. i may have unplugged it and sent it to the crusher with my old parts jeep. now I need to get the emissions done and can't because i don't have this plug. If you see one with a connector and not just hardwired in it would be really helpful for me to have this part. thanks!

What wrecking yard is it?
I live in the area, and it would be worth the drive! Those prices are cheap, especially compared to Pick'n'Pull.
Also, J&W Wreckers in Sacramento has a good selection. But they won't return my calls/emails.

OK, Sorry about the delay. We had a head gasket blow, and then my Grandfather passed away.. It's been a long couple weeks.
We are heading down there today. I have made a list of what folks are looking for.
I will double check this before we leave at about 12:30-1:00 PST just in case.

18 Cherokee's in one place.....
Ok,
I went to the local wrecking yard and took a bunch of pics. Not wanting to clog the server with these pics I have created an album on Photo-bucket. 1 pic for each XJ
wrecking yard jeeps pictures by SHEETER - Photobucket
Hope folks can find what they are looking for.
If I need to move the pictures to the server locally let me know.
Steve

if you find a map sensor in a 96, i am in dire need of this, and dont feel like shelling out 164 bucks to dodge when im on a high school guys budget, being 17 and freshly laid off sucks. and dodge tells me its a 96 specific sensor. so if you happen to come across a 96 in your ventures lemme know if it has the map sensor! like i say, i NEED one bad lol
