Bill Moore Lake Run 07/24
Met with a group of friends from Colorado and headed up for an overnighter at Bill Moore lake.
The lake sits at 11,000 ft. which is right at tree line.
Here we are a the trail head.
We took Red Elephant up to CR 183.1 and let me say it was a challenge. I made it without needing a pull but one rig did.
Unfortunately no pic of me going up it yet because I was pretty focused at banging up my new sliders and getting over a rock I honestly thought I had no chance at.
My buddy Jimmy (guy in the middle) made it look easy in his beast, those are 37's. One of the most capable rigs I have wheeled with.
This is by far one of the steepest runs I have made this photo does not do it justice.

So had a couple mild stream crossings.
After the last climb up to the lake we entered a rocky area and parked for the night.
There were parts of this trail that had side spurs that were so steep you would swear you were going to flop over backwards.

So I pitched camp.
Then headed out for some photo op.
Let me tell you that one of the most exciting things I have ever experienced happened at one in the morning last night.
Lets say I was woke up from a sound sleep by the screaming and the howling of a wolf.....................OMG

raceing is you and your car against the clock not the other car , in fact there are no people in the stands , no one else is at the track but you and the tree

That would be cool Jake. I know tons of great wheeling spots and by the time your done with that beast you'll be king of the hill.
