Default New suspension setup- shakedown run

I tweaked the front setup of my XJ a bit for more droop. Until I can afford to drop $400-600 worth of shocks into my rig, I had two 10" travel Skyjacker Hydros in my garage. My lift came with Nitros, so I was a bit leery to put a softer shock in, but it ended up much better. I relocated the brake line and Gorilla Glue'd a hockey puck to the coil bucket on each side so I didn't fully compress the newly extended shock travel. As is, I have an inch left until complete compression. Need to trim my front bumper a bit, as the corners rub the 33's at full stuff.

Lookin good. Hope that glue holds up for you. Mine eventually popped off so I used RTV adhesive instead and they are NOT coming off now.

Very nice dood..........................All I can say is shocks, shocks, shocks. I can't believe how much flex I picked up with my new ones. I too need to spend the time and properly bump stop my rig now.

Mudd- it's temporary until I can drop the axle and remove the coil. But I needed something before my club's run to Rausch Creek.

The rear is actually nearly as flexy as the front, and still leaves. Something in the combination of leaves just worked perfectly.

Still not a huge fan of the hydro shocks, they're too soft for my liking. However, the main idea was to get the travel length short term, and pick up Bilsteins or Fox 2.0s.

thanks dood- it's all in how it's set up.

planning on adjustable uppers next, with one-ton steering after that, then the front end will be complete.

Man that looks great. I can't wait for my disconnects to get here so I can flex mine and see what it can do.
