Default Stuck....
Got a little ballsy last weekend when it snowed here in NC, took it wheelin...


Blame the 16 year old testosterone for choosing the deepest part of the bog to try to get through.


Some guy in a Jeep Commander damned near ripped off my front bumper trying to pull me out but he couldn't get enough traction. Finally some guy came by with a winch, the 3rd picture is me when I was finally being pulled out. Total time spent stuck trying to get unstuck: 2 hours

I'm around Raleigh, it was a trail in the Bedford community. Unsure of legality, probably illegal

is there any place in NC around the OBX area that is legal to go wheelin? ill be in that area in august for a vacation and think it would be nice to meet up with someone and go wheelin

Yes sir, all along Highway 12/Cape Hatteras National Seashore. It's great beach driving. If you take 12 far enough South to Hatteras you can take a free 30 minute ferry ride over to Ocracoke, it's a small island. Maybe a 30 minute drive from end to end. You can drive all along the beach and drive out to the point, basically surrounded by ocean on all sides...it's crazy. So simply put, yes.

Not to be the @** in the crowd, but if you're unsure if a trail is legal or not, please don't go on it. Especially when there are legal wheeling trails in the area. "Wheeling" on illegal trails is what gets ORV parks and legal trails closed, along with giving us off-roaders a bad reputation.

That being said, cool pictures and I hope your bumper was not damaged too bad.
