Meaning whenever they want too?

You probabley have a short hopefully its next to the speaker so you dont have to search for it.

I dont think thats necessary but it might be.intill you look into it we'll never know

I had the same problem. I found the factory clips that attach to the speakers wiggled or jarred loose. I taped them on with electrical tape and had no problems.

another common place for a short in that setup is the gromet the wires pass through near the hinge of the liftgate. open the gate, turn on the radio and wiggle it around and see if the speakers cut on and off.
