Rotors are probably warped. get your rotors turned. How are the break pads.

I personally think that your passenger side caliper is bad. If you don't feel any vibration or grinding transfering through your brake pedal, this is more than likely what's wrong.

Check your rotors, calipers, and control arm bushings.

If you turn the rotors replace the pads..May just be me but I would never turn the rotors and run the old pads but that's me.

Not that I am trying to create an argument but.....

Your jeep is pulling to the left for a reason. The rotors being warped will not cause that alone. It could be that your drivers caliper is getting all the pressure and that your passengers side is not getting a lot. It could be that your drivers side caliper sticks and is not letting go. It can be that your passenger side was stuck and wore out the pads and now you get more contact on the drivers. If you feel vibration or a chattery type feeling coming through your pedal, then your rotors are probably warped but your rotors alone will not cause your jeep to pull to the left, crappy brake pads...maybe. Either way there is more to your problem than just the rotors and pads.

just like okcjeeper said, if you do turn your rotors, make sure that you replace your pads.

2000xj had the other good one too, don't forget to check your control arm bushings

I'm thinking calipers too. Been through this same issue so many times. It's common with rigs that see alot of mud.

Have you bent any control arms or knocked off the alignment a little?

Did you wash all the mud out of the drums?

if the rear drum locks on the drivers side and the passenger doesnt that could cause his left hand pull right?

I change my vote to check the calipers to. easy way is to remove pads on the side that is giving you problems, put a 2x4 or the handle of a hammer in the caliper and press on the breaks slowly and see if the piston is functioning correctly, then use a break spreader to get it back in.

Belto If the calipers don't move freely, they will only work about 50% as good as they should. Take it apart and clean up the rods they move on.

If your your drums are full of mud and dirt then they may not work well. If your left side brakes lock up, then your vehicle will pull to that side. It was just a thought.

I would check the brakes, especially since it seems to be happening most often during the application of the brakes.
