cargo area measurements?

need a quick favor please, my xj is nowhere near me but i need to find out the rear cargo measurments. 89 xj 4door, i need to know the depth from hatch to rear seat, and the max floor width inbeetween the wheelwells. I need to know if i can fit a 43" wide subwoofer box snug behind the seat... any help would be appreciated, thanks!!!

I have a 93 and the max floor space between the wheel wells is 43". the depth from hatch to seat is 34". I'm not sure if there is any diff because of the year.

Virtually no changes between 1984 and 2001.

The only exception is the plastic panels......
