Drivers side door switch
Hi I have an '89 Cherokee and a issue with my master unlock switch. It does not work at all, yet the other switches attached to it work perfectly fine. The switch worked for the longest time but it quit working out of nowhere. Could someone give me some guidance here?

there is probably a short in the wire that goes to it....on the back of the switch there is a multiple wire plug try straightening and messing with the wires and if you can get it to work at all then thats the problem and you could probably strip the wire then use electrical tape to hold it better or get it soldered back to the plug but make sure your battery is unhooked before doing this, for safety. If that does not seem to be the problem then it could be a short inside the switch or something inside it has broken. Best of luck.

Yeah only problem is the door unlock switch, power window switches, and the window lock switch is all one unit and the only place I could fine one was my local Jeep dealer and I'm not paying $65 for a new switch cluster.

If your rig is older than the 97's I can get you a ton of them from local yards. I could probably get one for 10 bucks. Let me know if you want one. 15 bucks for the switch and shipping. The US postal has than 4.95 ship box to anywhere.

i just searched TeamCherokee.com and OUCH!!!
$60 is entirely way too much to exhibit laziness...
You might also post in the "For Sale Section", (or in this case, the "wanted" section)

I dont know ? Tell me you want one lol. I just bought a hitch that I had to remove myself in the u-pull it yard for 10 bucks so I dont see a switch costing much more. I might be going up there saturday anyways. If you want one let me know and I will get it. If I cant get there saturday can you hold off a week or so ? What one for sure do you need ? I thought you needed the drivers side but your pic is of a pass side. I want to know for sure exactly what you need. I think the only difference with the switches are some have chrome on the knobs and some are solid black.

I need only the drivers side, I used the passenger side only as an example for you to see. I would like one, if you can get a hold of it. I can wait if needed. I can yank the chrome knobs off my old switch cluster and swap them with the new switch cluster if you can't find a chrome one. Thanx
