Check your tie rod and draglink ends, ball joints, u joints, tire balance, tighten all loose nuts and bolts, etc and SEARCH DEATH WOBBLE. I know that you will find some good threads here on it because it has been beat to death. Good Luck!

Could also be a cylinder misfire, my F-250 used to do that same thing. Get your hands on a diagnostic machine and plug it in and it will tell you.

You're saying that a cylinder misfire can cause you to loose control of your vehicle. That's a new for me.

Nah, not that. I mean when I would be over 45 and let off the gas for a second, whenever I reapplied the gas the entire vehicle would violently shake

Plus, I'm assuming that since this is in the STOCK section, I'm guessing it isn't death wobble. I've only heard of death wobble on lifted XJ's, I'm probably wrong though ha

I only have an extra leaf spring in back, (a baby lift if you even want to call it that) and nothing up front (nothing that I have done anyway) and I have caught the Death Wobble a couple of times. There is the one particular bump getting on the freeway that I take to work that can get it shaking like a mother****er.

I have not seen anyone mention control arm bushings but that needs to be added to the list of things to check and also the ball joints. DW is caused by worn or loose front end components. One or more is the culprit.

Sounds like an alignment issue to me. Definately check your toe.

Price shop between America's Tire Co, Les Scwabbs, Tire Factory, Etc. I live in Eugene and always go to Amerca's Tire because they always give me a good deal.
