Default Loud pop just before turning full lock?

'95 4x4 Sport. When I turn in either direction, just before I get to the steering wheel full lock position, I hear/feel a loud pop. Any thoughts on what this could be and how to fix? Thanks in advance!

First I would try doing this. Have a buddy try to replicate it while the vehicle is in park and physically look at what is loose in your steering.

It almost sounds like either the trac bar, or bad control arm bushings to me?

i used to have the same thing happen, one of my grease fittings was all dried up, i would start with checking all those.

I would imagine a bad wheel joint would be the cause...
