Default What makes a Jeep hard to start?

It takes a while to start my Jeep but for some reason pumping the brake seems to ease the wait time a bit. Any particular reason why my Jeep is taking a while to crank?

Try turning the key on the on position for a couple seconds and let the fuel pump fully prime itself then start her up.

look at all ground wires and th connections to the starter... they sometimes are correded and this will make a jeep start hard as the power is not going to the starter like it should...

also make sure you feed the hampster on the wheel in the starter on a regular basis or they tend to get .... unresponsive

get a starter with more torque like a mean green, my stock starter sucked so i bought a mean green and it only takes about 2 turns before the motor starts, also check the altenator/battery.
