Not sure but why not just go in there and make your own gasket?

The only seal is in the transfer case. If it is leaking at the rear of the tranny you need a hew gasket. A couple of buck and some oil and you are good to go.

Head gasket? Not sure why that would be the cause of oil from the head gasket. Maybe valve cover gasket and/or rear main seal.

go in where?
anyways there was no place with it except a place called valley gear and transmission.these guys had everything they even had a brand new x4 sitting on the self, i mean "new" not rebuilt! and every kind gear box you could think of, muncies, t18s t5s t4 tremecs srods, etc. so they had the seal the asin warner x4 is differant than what you 4.0 guys have your stuff is east to find mine is alot harder to get everything is for the 2.5l drivetrain.the seal sits in the adapter housing. the original one was rubber like a rear main seal. the cr replacement was metal and rubber. its called a housing adapter seal or trans seal dpending on who you talk to. so i just got everything back in there i didnt lose alot of fluid i was down a quart which sucks cus i bought a gallon of gl5 gear oil i think its 75-85w whatever jeep calls for.so hopefully everything is all in order. i am using my jeep to do my lawn mowing landscaping work so i really cant have leaking trannys that might break plus i plan on towing around a small trailer with my mowers. hopefully if work picks up ill buy a second 4.0 jeep and then work on a motor swap in this one. i have a spare 5.0 H.O. mustang motor and everything to run it so i would just need a borgwarner t5 and transfer case out of a jeep and a v8 bellhousing. the t5 accepts both gm, jeep and ford bellhousings as far as i know. so anyways seals all done

oh i see what you meant, no thats the front behind the motor. the rear of the trans as i described is right before the transfer case. so it was leaking in the middle anyways.
