Default blinker problem

Hello all. I have a 1988 jeep cherokee. I have some sort of sort with the blinkers. When I replace the fuse it blows if I put the passenger's side blinker on. The left side blinks real fast. The reverse lights are on the same fuse and do not come on at all. Does anybody have an ideas? I don't have any wiring diagrams either.

you might check in the steering col. I need to replace the blinker switch in mine. it stops working sometimes. A stray wire or something touching ground could blow the fuse

I still haven't found it. blows flasher and fuse now. pulled out all the light buckets and nothing. someone was gonna change the switch in the column and said that they didn't think it was that.

I think I found the short, but when in order to get them to blink I have to put the hazard and either the left blinker for left or right blinker for right. Won't work with just hazard or just blinker. Can someone please help me?

ok. here's where I am now. blinkers are all working. thanks for the help. BUT, when I turn on the headlights the right blinker indicator light comes on. It doesn't blink, but it lights up. What's going on now?

does the brake light switch have something to do with the headlights making the blinker indicator come on?

not nessisarily but possibly.... i had the 6 wired brake switch and it caused my running lights brake lights flashers and turn signals to go out at the same time

i ended up rewireing them all and now it works
