Default Cheap and easy to install steering system

I have a 92 XJ and my entire steering system leaks and I want to upgrade from my 31in tires to 35's. So, I am looking for a good cheap and easy to install steering sytem, something with a little reinforcement, but not to expensive any suggestions would be greatly appreciatted!

A cheap system would be an upgraded tie rod with tie rod ends, like a ZJ tie rod upgrade, or IronMan 4X4 Fabrication with beefier dodge rod ends. This kind of upgrade doesn't change the factory drag link. If you want to do it all you will have to get an aftermarket system like Currie's, RK's, etc.

Heavy Duty Tie Rod System by Currie Enterprises and Other Jeep Parts and Jeep Accessories by 4 Wheel Drive Hardware-RH1

Rock Krawler Suspension, Inc.
(check out the steering system)

1-Ton Steering Upgrade: JcrOffroad, Inc.

They aren't cheap but they come complete and much stronger than stock.

it would also be recommended to get a steering box brace.

For good and cheap, I'd recommend ZJ tierod (I'd do the draglink as well) and a steering box brace as mudd already has. Also, since you've got leaks and want to bump up to 35's, perhaps a Durango steering box with some framerail reinforcement plates would be a wise idea. Don't know if the brace works with the Durango's box though (the plates will, there's options available for the Durango's 4 bolts). Fairly simple to do and there's write-ups EVERYWHERE.

Also, you can upgrade to the Durango V8 steering box. It has a larger piston in it to power those bigger tires. I would add a steering box brace to this one. Also plate the other side of the frame if you haven't already.

I actually just did this upgrade, I used a ZJ drag link, tie rod, and ends. I wasnt planning on using the ZJ drag link, but it was about $35 cheaper than the XJ one??? my stock one was shot anyway.

The ZJ drag link is almost exactly the same, it is a LITTLE heavier, the damper angle is slightly different, and it is about 1/2 inch longer. I read a write up or two that claimed it was a lot better, I havent bounced it off any rocks yet so I dont know for sure

When I centered the steering wheel the drag link and the TRE were almost touching in the coupler, but came together fine.

The tie rod was a simple direct bolt on. As easy as removing two nuts, popping one off and puttin the other on
