Default Cooling system ?

What is the best way to get all the air out of the cooling system.I was pulling the radiator hose off of the goose neck and filling it threw the hose .But now sense it is getting a little cooler the heater isn't blowing hot air.

Thats the air coming out

I would just drain the system then refill it. Once you seem to get all the water in run the engine and you will see the water line go down, fill and repeat until the system is full.

Jabo the above suggestions work great if you have converted to an open system but if you still have the football on the passenger side firewall then you have the closed system and the best method is to park it with the rear higher than the front. Use ramps if you don't have a hill. remove the temp sensor on the rear of the head on the drivers side and fill the system slowly. That sensor hole is now the high spot and the air will eventually start flowing from it. you now have a system that is full and you can re-install the sensor and hook the wire back up.

Great point, since you have an open system you need to use the above method.
