I got a prob.
The hhep Idles like a champ. But when you are driving down the road it will all at once just cut off, not the running out of gas cut off either so it aint the fuel pump. Any body have a clue? and even with it being a 5-speed it will not just pop the clutch to get started when this happens but turn the switch off and back on and most of the time it will fire right up. Me and daddy both think it is the coil what yall think?

You might check your cps, they tend to do this as they start to go out.

I had a similar problem. you bring it off idle and it dies corret? if so, it is your TPS or Throttle Positioning sensor.
This goes out with just age, or from MUD. It was a $90 part for my 97 from the dealer

I got mine for $20 at auto. I would just replace it and see because even if it's not the problem, chances are it will go out anyways shortly.

I had this same problem this week. Mine ended up being a couple of bad plug wires...and my 1st and 3rd plugs were halfway out. Any ideas on how that happens???
