Paint everything you can, even the radiator. Coastal rigs can end up with tubes and no fins left. Undercoat everything underneath.

It looks like fine white dust. On a real windy day you can hardly see out of your windshield.

The first thing to go here on the west coast is the radiator. The fins just disappear. We went to the coast all the time. My wife was born in Astoria, OR. As coastal as it gets. The breakers make a mist of salt water that gets blown inland. You can actually see it in the air. Kind of like a real light weird fog.

Living in Hawaii and growing up in Florida Belto I can say that your best bet is to paint, seal, and rinse daily. Rust is inevitable and clear coat can only take so much, but rinsing with fresh water and waxing monthly will help the most. Good luck brother.

like they said under coat everything dont leave anything bare and for your paint wash it with soap once a week if you can find time and wax it 2 times a year i use new finish that stuff is great stuff you can get it at a local auto parts store its in a orange bottle (people might say you should wax it more then 2 times a year but they are wronge 2 time is more then enough if you do it to much you will cut your clear coat down to far and the uv rays will make it start pilling) any way good luck man let me know what you end up doing salt is sucky stuff
