No real down side of the Rotella in the 4.0, higher zinc can fry the catalytic converter according to some of the forums. With the age and mileage of our Jeeps I don't think it should be an issue.

You don't even have a 4.0. You don't count.

Well right off the bat I noticed it isn't leaking anymore. Always a few drops under the jeep. After the oil change, nothing. Not a single freaking drop.

YEAH BABY!!!! Got the Cruise Control in. Air bag did not go off, air bag light is not on, and the horn works. Went for a spin around the neighborhood. All the features appear to work. Will know better when I get her on the highway. I literally live 1 minute from the cop shop. Got her up to speed to check the cruise but did not want to push my luck.

It is pretty easy with the parts. This one is from a '99 and it was plug and play on my '00. Switches need to be '97 or '98 for those years and '99 and up for '99 to '01. Pretty sure everything else does not matter. The proper removal of the clockspring is something I was not aware about but realized my mistake before the install. Wheels straight ahead when removing and zip tie the rotating part with the body through the hole that is there so it does not spin on you. Fortunately for me I have a '01 Service Manual, free score off Craigslist, and they explain the procedure to recenter a clock spring. Turn clockwise till you feel resistance, then turn counter clockwise 2 and 1/2 turns. If a 1/2 more is necessary to line up that hole I was talking about above that is OK.

I was doing 50 mph past the cop shop to engage the cruise. It is a more used side street but a side street none the same. Speed Limit is 25 MPH.
