Default 00 Sport build up

Hey guys...i signed up a while back but forgot about this place...

I rolled my last jeep (guess i should change my name)...so here is the build up of the current one.

Its a 2000 Sport, lp30/8.25 29spline...no rust, 96xxx miles.

love that clean engine bay...

Mods at this point:
-added the 2" drop ball attachment to the hitch
-swapped in my alpine dvd player
-seafoamed
-changed oil to mobile 1 full synthetic with new filter
-new air intake tube with cone filter
-new windshield wipers all around

moving right along....

crap ordered:
4.5" RE coils/leaves
Rock krawler long arm upgrade
p.o.r.c. sye
ss brake lines
RC 9000 nitro shocks
rro track bar

lift going in:

same problem as last time, different solution: while taking out drivers side leaf spring, the front weld nut in the unibody rail got messed up. lovely. well instead of cutting it out and welding in a new one (last time)...my friend mark found me a correct size die and redid the threads for me

oh, i also added a flowmaster exhaust as well...

rear shocks on (i snapped all the bolts...)

here's how i fixed...took some bolts, and welded them up there as studs:

exhaust was hitting my leaf spring, so cut it way back, made a turn down and used some scrap tubing for a hanger.

all done, and washed:

gotta love the dinky little tires...

performance offroad SYE install:

rear drive shaft removed:

speed sensor out:

using the finesse approach (bfh + screwdriver) :

split the case:

dont forget to clean the magnet:

all taken apart:

old shaft and new one:

new shaft with gears on:

put back together...mostly:

have since rebuilt a front driveshaft, and installed. very slight vibes (think just the driveshaft isnt perfectly balanced but they arent bad at all)...4wheel drive works perfectly and shifts smooth as silk.

Looks good! I wish I could have done a build that quickly. Still learning about my XJ, and saving the funds for a lift and tires.
