7 long months of frustration, fighting with every single part i put on....FINALLY, she moves under her own power!!!





here's how i did the shifters on the 300...used some advanced adapters parts, with a few modifications since i didnt swap out the shift rails





rear shocks mounted, new cover, just need to tidy up the brake lines,


whats left:
exhaust
install hydro assist
order 1 new front caliper/install front brakes
front driveshaft
cover plate for transfer cases
install mini spool for rear, and weld front
clean up brake lines
some things im forgetting

im in west virginia now for a weeks vacation....

today we did ziplining, and went out to the Good Evening ranch and rode a bit with the Mountaineer offroad club. here's a video of me testing the low low range:

Im still up here in wv, but here's whats been going on so far...

we got to the rivermen campground saturday...and went out ziplining sunday morning:


sunday evening we wheeled at the good evening ranch. the Mountaineer offroad club was kind enough to let us wheel at their event. this was the first test of the xj, and im happy to report everything is working on it. only issue was it popped outta gear a few times on some long down hill decents (when you are not on the throttle). a known issue for the dana 300's.


then monday we did some class V white water rafting, had a blast doing that...

then we headed over to a cabin in green bank, wv.



according to the gps...this is a county road:








looks more like an atv trail, but it was still fun...






today (wed), we drove over to Snowshoe mtn...check in for the Jeep Jamboree is tomorrow!

fixed the leak from the dana 300, cleaned the underside and interior, and did some painting. heres a few other shots from woolys:







fun little section of trail...had to head off at an angle, then back up hard passenger to shimmy into position.


didnt get any other pics cuz my buddy with the camera was spotting

had a car show/fundraiser at work, so i entered the jeep. you can see my freshly painted roll cage...

did some wheeling at woolys today with a friend, he just got a 04 rubicon:













blew a bead on cowskull (one of the tougher trails they have), had to take the wheel off and air it up back at the shop, then get a tug to the side so i wouldnt do it again. but i did drive out of it!







my buddy broke a sway bar link, and i blew the seal in my steering box...time to upgrade i guess

just need to pick up some new hydraulic lines and fittings, and ill be good to go. trying to get the xj ready for a wheeling trip this weekend
