Hahah i got it from a friend. I wouldn't buy the bumpers, they aren't that great IMO. Plus this thing has seen some serious trail abuse lol.

Yeah i'll sell you the entire front axle for $150, or you can buy just the locker for $150 and i'll give you the axle. Whatever you prefer :P

Actually I think I'm gonna stick with mine since I already spent the money on new upper and lower ball joints. And I'd rather go with a selectable locker up front in the future.

Here's a better picture of my "new" jeep.

Yestarday i swapped the dana 44 from my parts jeep to my jeep.
The 4.88 gearing is REALLY nice. The power is amazing, it feels like I can take on people in a race lol. The gearing is pretty short but it's definitely still driveable on the highway. At 65 its at about 2600RPM. Basically I have passing power in OD
The only downside to the axle is that it's spooled. How much extra tire wear do you think it will cause? I plan on replacing it ASAP, but because of my current budget it's going to be a couple months.

Nice! Depends on how much turning you do, if you do a lot of driving around town you may wear your tires down fairly quick. Just go easy on the turns, I have driven quite a few different vehicles with spools or welded spider gears and its the U turns, tight corners and the on ramps that circle on to the freeways where you will notice it.

Not much of an update, but I picked up a used set of 36" super swamper TSLs.

I'm not sure if they will work with just 4.5" of lift so I plan on going up another 3". I have all the parts to do it except control arms. Right now I am contemplating saving money and going with drop brackets, or making my own set of long arms and a new crossmember.

Question please.
Hey guys I'm new to the site too! AND I'm a girl.
Have some patience with me I ask - I need some answers from you experts!
I'm having a hard time finding the small knobs that open and lock the small triangular windows on both sides at the front of each large window on my 1991 JEEP CHEROKEE SPORT/ loredo.
I have been to the dealers and on-line and to 5 recycle car parts yards in Maryland.
If any of you know where I could find these it would really mean a lot to me to find them - I love this Jeep but am moving and can't take it with me across the states and must sell it. 1991 white auto 4WD 4D power windows.
thanks guys,
'91JeepCher

Put on new tires. Total cost for tires, mounting and balancing: $200

Those tires look great on there. How much lift did you end up with?

Thanks man. I have no idea lol. I have 3.5" springs/leafs with 1.75" spacer and 2" shackles. The tires should lift the jeep about 4" compared to a 28" tire, so theoretically I should be about 9" taller than stock.
