I would put the bumper at probably 60-70 pounds maybe? Weighs a good bit less than my 95lb winch. Although there is still more steel to get welded in. The front is going to sag a bit but that is just an excuse to buy new coils.

Just noticed this is in the pic forum, can I get it moved the build forum?
Passenger side coil is not taking the bumper well, ordered anothe isolator to even things out.
Picked up a warn 8274 and a front waggy 44. Got ballistic brackets ordered.
Plan over the fall/winter will be to build the 44 up and hopefully by spring be running 4.88 in that and the 8.8 and be rolling on 35's or 36's.

I am broke so I am building this entirely out of steel leftovers and scraps in the garage.
the plate is only 1/8 so I am going to brace it all with 1" x 1/8 tube and some 1" x 1/4 angle. All of it is getting welded to my mopar hitch.
Getting started:
Quick test fit:
Adding strength:
Still have more tube and plate to add. My exhaust runs under the hitch for a bit so I am not sure how to get around that yet. Will post pics up once it is complete and painted.
So far all it cost me is some grinding wheels and mig wire.

Just saw this, and really like the idea. Good job

Thats snow - deep snow - were lucky to get more than a couple of inches in the uk.
That winch set up is an elegant piece of automotive engineering.
I like this forum very much!!!

I put up a thread with pics and video from my last major run in the trail run pics section.
The vid above shows the result of an 8.8 with 31" tires. I am dragging the thing over everything.
I need to get my waggy 44 front built so I can upgrade to 35's.
Ballistic brackets are in and I've almost saved up enough for full 5.13 gears and master install kits for both axles. I just need to figure out what to do about the 6x5.5 on the waggy.
I will not buy 5x4.5 -> 6x5.5 adapters for the rear as they are 2 peice and the thinest on the market are 1.75". I hate the idea of 2 piece adapters.
I have 2 plans and am open to advice.
1: convert the waggy to 5x5.5, buy 4 new wheels and use simple 1.25" 1 piece adapters on the rear. Better but expensive.
2: Leave it 6x5.5 and buy a single 2 piece adapter mentioned above for use with a spare tire on a 6x5.5 wheel. Only for use to get off the trail and home.
This means I only need to buy 2 new wheels and 1 adapter and saves me buying new knuckle parts.

Decided not to build the waggy 44, too expensive and my garage door height means I can't go over 35's so I am just going to build up a hp30 and ditch my lp30.
4.88's, master installs and a new carrier for the 30. I will run stock shafts and buy chromo's if they don't hold up. I drive like a granny anyways
