it is. gas tank protection is over rated in my opinion. i seriously dont see how anyone could drag or bust a hole in it unless a huge stick got thrown up from the trail and went into it or just something insanely crazy happen. this is my third cherokee build and i have yet to ever bust a hole or even hit/drag my gas tank anywhere.

I take it you have not taken a stock Cherokee out wheeling with a bunch of modified rigs and tried to keep up. Then you will be bumping and scraping the whole underside, including the gas tank.

What about drop off? Never dropped off anything and bashed the rear end of the body?

key word there is "stock" and mines oviously not stock. yeah ive taken bone stock cherokees out, never had a problem. ive never dropped off anything and bashed the rear of the body either. ha i have MAD driving skills
