The main reason it's there is for an additional recovery point and Warn makes a receiver with the pin hole towards the end. Other than that I may make a winch mounting plate; at which point I can put the hole anywhere I need it.

Ah, I can't say I'd looked directly at their products, I just know that my own mounts and shackle-pin/mounts all need 2-4" past the hole to be of proper use.

Here's their D-ring receiver. Most aftermarket bumpers, the ones I have looked at anyways, have minimal room back there because they always set the tube back into the bumper (like mine) for clearance.

Other then that I would make my own cradle for a winch.

I started the cage 2 weeks ago but only got the main hoop bent up. I'm going to try getting the rest of the main cage done next weekend along with welding up the front bumper...

I don't have pics of it finished but there are 2 more bends in it so the lower portion of the tube is vertical (typical 4 bend hoop). I'll get more posted up this coming weekend...

This is looking like a great build. I like the chopped look too. Nice fab work all the way around. I could compliment all day because it's a really cool build, so nice job so far

The guy I bought the Jeep from used it on his acreage; when I brought the Jeep home they weren't there.

I'm currently in Montana but will be back at the end of the week; call me anytime this weekend. I might have a couple of things to do but I should be around most of the weekend.

And technically the truck (Jeep Commando) is my sons but we're not sure what we're going to do with it yet. He starts driving in about 6 months and we'll never have it done in time It needs a motor, tranny, all new wiring and the doors need a lot of work (windows, door handles, etc.).

Thanks. As mentioned, not sure what we're going to do yet. I think we're about to play some musical cars at my house and who knows where the 104 (commando) is going to end up

I wish. The only thing I've done lately is work on the main bar a little bit. I had to narrow it and now I need to shorten it but this weekend I'm headed to a crawlin' competition (spotting for a friend) so nothing will get done this weekend either...

I almost hate to say this but right now I'm planning on having it done by the 4th of July. I've got some family coming to town and I would really like to have this done by then! Wish me luck...
