Default My '92 four door Build

Ok so I have been working here and there with the Red XJ (in between designing and making the tube doors and other thing!?!?!:drooland wanted to share some pics of the work as it comes along. Now I'm not always good about snapping pics while working especially if it is custom) so they will be pics of it at different stages. The lift is a 6.5"-7" Custom with parts from Rough country, Rusty's, Iron Rock offroad. Some have been made by me. Like the leafs, I have two sets that or from unknown full size trucks one of which is HUGE. I'm mixing and matching leafs and could get 10" out of the leafs if I wanted. My plan are to make It a trail rig that will be able to be driven around town. It will have about 7" of lift with some 35"x15.5"x15 tires. I'm going to see how far that C8.25 will go, then I have a 8.8 in the wings. D30 in the front with 4.88 gears and I have not made a complete decision on lockers but it is looking like a lunch box in the rear to start and a selectable in the front. I'm going to do the inside, rocker panels, and wheels wells in bedliner and then probably repaint it red so I do not have to do the door jams and stuff. The I have a I6 that needs to be rebuilt that I will start making a stroker after I get the XJ running.Other stuff will come as I find what I like.
OK here is the pics

Soon I will be looking for a good set of used 35"s so if anyone finds a good deal that they do not want let me know.

Here are some pics of the rear rocker panel trim I'm doing while I wait for the bushings.

I also took the headlight bezel and bumper off in preparation for my new bumper and the bezel had a huge crack in it so I have to replace it also.

Here is the front bumper I'm working on. it need to be cleaned up and painted

I might even forget about all of it and go with this look.

OK it is coming together a little at a time. I have so much going on and then my ****ty Harbor Freight Air Hose went to Hell I cut and repaired it 5 times before I got pissed and throw it out. Now I have to get a new hose any suggestions for a good hose that can be outside alot?
I have to straighten this part of the Unibody out(XJ was in a minor front accident) but after it is straight I was wondering what some guys have done to make this area stronger(added bracing, steel plating, etc..)

Got a bunch done tonight! I got the front back on tires and would have had the rear also but I miss judged the size of the hole in the leaf spring bracket made for the center pin (too small) so I just have to drill that out a little and i will be ready for a test also. I am no where close to being done But I have alot of stuff together for testing to make sure I like the lift size and other stuff then I will take i back apart cause I have to replace the brakes and clean everything up before I start on the body for paint. hen I will get some tires and wheels on.
