For the first time ever this thing runs under 210 operating temp! My engine began sounding like it was knocking for a month or so, turned out to be the waterpump scraping the inside of itself. Swapped in a cheapo $30 pump and a new 195* thermostat and what do you know, runs around 205 now. The old coolant was clean but of course I basically flushed it while I was at it.

Just did my water pump a couple months ago as well! Cheap and easy fix

Prepping for a new/homemade front bumper. Relocated vacuum ball, And flipped & tucked Horns higher up.
My stock bumper brackets are welded to the same mount for the tow hooks. I'm going to chop the mount a bit shorter and reinforce it with some plate, this will make it plenty strong enough to weld a permanent bumper too. It ill be removable, but I am going to use my existing mounts as they already go back to the furthest uni-body hole.

More December updates: Locker coming soon for the 8.25. Fancy shocks may have to wait at this point. Started building a bumper last night, finished welding today. Now it just needs license plate tabs and prep for painting. Its very stout and tucked high, It will also have tow hooks as I used modified factory mounts. I cut the thin sheet out to make the brackets. flat and flush with the 2x4. Came out pretty good

Thanks! It's pretty much just like how you trimmed your stock bumper lol. I like slim bumpers vs the big fat ones that hang out a foot or two

Nice work on your front bumper, the guy I bought mine from just through away the vacuum ball when he installed the bumper. With out it the heater just sat on defrost. I had to do a few junkyard runs when I first got my jeep.

Looking good Leon. How about a side view of the bumper so we can see the ends and how the D rings are attached.

D-rings are just welded on. Doesn't seem that strong but the metal will rip out of the bumper before those welds fail. Either way, they are more for cosmetics as I am still running Tow hooks beneath them.

Got the bumper painted and mounted today.

That bumper looks great Leon. Now you need to do the rear.
