One of these times you'll learn to wait until after the first batch....

Put a RC 4.5" lift on a buddy's Jeep. Need to figure out the front drive line angle and install the SYE for the rear still. Swapped a 8.25 axle in and used my old stock shaft and it's way too short. The front pinion angle is horrible and vibrates like crazy. Gonna have to roll without the front a hit until he can afford some adjustable uppers.

The front drive shaft in an automatic is longer. I use one with my Hack n Tap. Is the front axle LP, cause that doesn't help driveline angles.

Yeah the automatic front shaft is longer. His Cherokee is the red 94'. I Temporarily used my old 8.25 stock rear driveline after I swapped the axles because he had a lengthened driveline for a Dana 35 and it was too long to fit after the lift. Last weekend I installed a IRO hack n tap on it and gave him a spare driveline to run in the rear and now it has zero vibrations with the front shaft removed the cheap RC 4.5" lift kit relies on the transfer case drop to make up for the front pinion angle being off... So that's not gonna fly. He needs adjustable uppers to dial it in. It has 1.25" cross member spacers installed even with the SYE just to get him by if he wants to put the front shaft back in.

I was surprised to learn that as you lift he rear, the DS gets shorter, unless you "stretch" the wheel base. which is what a lot of guys do when they move to 1 ton axles. At least he is up and running. Good Job.

Threw some cooper's on the Jeep. The Irok's are fantastic off road but I don't wanna burn through them on my Jeep over the summer. The cooper's look pretty goofy white walls out in my application lol

Surprising enough the iroks weren't a rough ride at all. They were radials and most superswampes that size or bigger tend to be bias ply. I also put the cooper's on 8in wide wheels and the iroks were on 10in wheels. Going back down to a 35in tire after having 36s look silly... The cooper's barely measured out to a 34" tire loaded and the iroks were just over 35" loaded

I decided it was time to get a winch. I've been avoiding it like the plague. I never wanted one or needed one as long as I went with someone that had one. I'd like to be able to rely on my own rig for self recovery as well as be able to pull others out in sticky situations. Sometimes yanking just doesn't cut it, Especially in sticky situations where you risk getting your own rig stuck.

Now I need to heavily modify my skimpy front bumper to attach it to. I may end up cutting out some of the front grill to tuck it as high as possible.

I got my winch for free and thought I would never use it. Since having it I find I use it frequently.

Mine came in handy on my TJ pulling a bunch of old scrubs out of the beds in the front of my house . Sure saved a bunch of work for me. Also saved my arse in the woods a few times to.

I really wanted to get synthetic line but opted for the steel cable. The main reason I got the winch is for deep snow Wheeling and from what I've read synthetic can turn into a giant ice block and be a hassle to get unspooled.
