You bet I'll be reporting back on how it does on/off road. My buddy that runs this same setup on his TJ has had great things to say about it. I have no doubt that I'll be satisfied.

Thanks!
The steering is definitely beefy, but at a cost - it's HEAVY.
The d-window move looks like it'll be a good one too. I need to get this thing cleaned up a bit, she looks like she's been through a world war.

Hey Taz, I bought it from Jason. He's currently offering free shipping on it - which is excellent because like I said, this is HEAVY.

Thanks alot... believe me it never ends. Some more stuff has been done here and there, but I'm always in a rush and haven't gotten to take pics. I'll update this thread within in the month.

Finally got out on the trails yesterday, and it did really well. There are some things that still need some adjusting/replacing but so far so good.
The ORO steering is AWESOME - I landed on it REALLY hard a few times, and it's only got a few scratches - it's DEFINITELY worth the investment.
I also threw Alloy USA chromo shafts into the D44. They're 30 spline, but stronger.
The steering box is shot and I definitely need a new one.
The Trackbar bracket is loose, I think the mounting holes are wallowed out and it's shifting - causing some DW. So that'll be addressed soon too.
I can't report on how the tires are balanced b/c of the DW issue.

Here are the few pics I have:

Any opinions on welding the trackbar mount to the frame rail? I have the Rubicon Express Extreme Duty Trackbar and Mount, which mounts to the frame rail with 4 bolts. The 2 bolts that mount horizontally into the framerail are nice and tight, BUT the 2 bolts that mount vertically into the framerail from the bottom are loose.
I can't for the life of me get them tight, it seems as if the nuts are seized to the bolts, and the holes may have wallowed out.
I'm thinking of welding the mount to framerail and not thinking about it again.
Is the framerail too weak or too thin for this to be welded? Who's welded it here? What are the pros and cons? Any other solutions?

I've seen many people weld the t-bar mount on. You could remove those two bolts, drill through the nut to erase the threads and use bolt-nut combos instead to tighten it down, IF you don't want a permanent welded mount. Otherwise, just weld it.

I would do that, but the welded nuts are broken free, and the bolts are seized to them, I acn't get anything on them to hold the nut while I try to tighten the bolts. I don't even think they are nuts, they look like they were welded nuts w/o sides if that makes any sense.... wow I've been outta this stuff for too long!

Yeah they aren't nuts, just round metal with the center drilled and tapped. Cut off the heads of the bolts so you can remove em and replace with big bolts/nuts, or tack weld the spinning "round nuts" back to the frame so you can tighten em. Or just weld the whole thing on lol.
I see this issue come up on the boards every now and then. Most people are able to grip the round nuts with vice grips but some can't and end up cutting the bolt to remove both and replacing with bigger bolt nuts. Some just weld it all on. You could also make a nutstrip with two nuts to use on top so you don't have to worry about holding the nut while you tighten the bolt.
