Thanks alot! Those tires are BFG MT's in the 305/70R16 (roughly 33x12.50R16) variety.

Thanks alot! Yea the dents were a heartbreaker, but it's ok... that day of wheeling was totally worth it!

Thanks alot! It was actually quite inexpensive. I bought the spray-on bedliner from a local auto parts store, but Pep Boys and RS Strauss also carry it, and I assume that Autozone and Napa also carry it. All other supplies can be bought at any typical home improvement store (Home Depot, Lowes, ACE Hardware, etc.). Each can of the bedliner was $10 (each can was the typical size of a typical spray-paint can), and I used 4 entire cans of it. I used 3 coats on each surface (except the front bumper which I just touched up, as well as the sliders which I only applied 1 coat to).

Thanks alot! I got all the parts for the brake swap from EMS Offroad ( CLICK HERE FOR LINK, if you call, you'll most likely talk with either Eric or Tom. Ask for Eric because he is the one that will fab everything up and does all of the actual mechanical work. Tom does more of the book keeping, and I recommend that you double check all prices with Tom as Eric sometimes gets confused about them --- not on purpose to screw you but just because Tom is the one that really deals with that aspect of the business more. Unfortunately the cost was a bit higher because I got all brand-new parts (rotors, calipers, brackets, bolts, bearings, bearing retainers, spacer, blah blah blah). Some of the parts were custom made as well. Be prepared to spend about $600-$700 including shipping. Now I'm not a big fan of spending butt-loads of money, but at the time it was my daily driver and I really didn't have the time to hunt around for parts at junkyards. Moreover, I wanted to retain the emergency brake because it was a primarily street-driven vehicle at the time. You can go with Chevy parts (I can also provide part numbers for that swap) if you don't care about keeping your ebrake. That route is significantly less expensive.
Eric and one of my friends have known each other for years through comp. He does excellent work, is VERY honest and VERY dependable. As a matter of fact, when we were discussing the swap he recommended that I try to find a complete 8.8, strip the parts off of it and re-sell the housing and such to try to save some money. He's not out to get you and is very fair. His shipping is also reasonable considering the weight of the items that you receive, and it was also very quick (it was 2 or 3 business days from his place in PA to me in Jersey).
Feel free to ask me any questions either here or via PM.

Well I haven't updated this thread in a while, and I actually haven't really done all that much to the XJ since my last update.
Last week in prep for the comp I was in over the weekend I had to come up with a better way of holding up my disconnects. I still use the bungee cord method (that should hopefully change in the coming months), and I really just needed a better place to strap them to.
I went to Ace Hardware and picked up a couple closed hooks with threads and a nut on them. I drilled a couple holes in the wheel wells (1 under the battery tray, and 1 under the airbox). I then cut the threads to the necessary length to be able to reinstall the box and battery tray, and secured the hooks with washers and nuts. They work great, are out of the way, and look like they belong there.
I'll get some pics of the finished product up in the next couple days, I honestly just didn't have the time last week to worry about snapping pics as I was doing the job.

I like the Looks of the new "paint" job. The maroon and black look very sleek together.
How do you like having all 4 disc brakes?

Having discs in the rear is really great. Not only is it a breeze to do a brake job now knowing that I don't have to deal with springs and adjusters, but they stop so much better, and hold the truck back nicely offroad.
I don't regret it at all, and it's definately a great modification.

I got the kit from EMS Offroad, they're located in eastern PA. They were great people to deal with, highly recommend them.
Thanks Fin!
