It's a speaker bar from a newer cherokee. I still haven't put speakers in it yet though.

So today is a sad day... I haven't done much to my Cherokee since I bought the tires except a rear axle swap. I had $1200 saved up in my bank that I was going to use to buy longer shocks, extended brake lines and a rear locker... But the federal government and Arnold want more money so goodbye Jeep parts.

Well it's been a while since I've done an update on here. Well... The jeep hasn't moved for over a month. The POS axle finally blew apart while I was driving it one day... This axle was bad to begin with, JRW7072009 knows what I'm talking about.

I recently pulled a HPD30 from the local pick-n-pull for about $200. Time to get rid of this axle, it has caused nothing but problems. Got the axle out and of course I found more problems, not really much of a surprise though. The lower control arms move way too much from side to side. The bushing on the frame side are completely shot.

Rough Country was also kind enough to send me some new bushings, love those guys! Once they come in later this week I'll be able to get my Jeep moving again... I miss her. Just in time for duck season too...

I know I should have... I even had an extra Dana 30 sitting around our shop that I could have used. But I sold it without thinking about it.

Waiting for the bushings to come in from RC. Meanwhile I painted everything...

I also picked up a stock engine skid plate for free. I decided to add something to it, instead of the plain black.

Finally she moves! It's been 2 months now and I'm sick and tired of driving my work van around as a personal car. I had some trouble bleeding the brakes, because apparently I put the calipers on the wrong side. Swapped 'em and then bled the brakes... It's amazing to drive now. No clunking and not a lot of play in the wheel like there used to be.

I'll get some pictures up soon.
