well as you guys know i own a 91 yj on 37s 44/60 and i keep adding stuff to it..im also working on a 302/np435/np205 drivetrain for the yj....but until yesterday i was dayly driving the yj with 37s/spool/2.5/ax5/410s...im getting around 80 miles for the WHOLE tank....so i got this xj yesterday for reallyyyyy cheap..is a 2.5/ax5/4x2 xj ...with ac...its going to be my dayly driver...



the idea is to swap the ax5/np231 out of my yj in it "eventually" and get a front xj axle with 410s 31s and 1.5 lift i have in the house and call it good ...

but for now...

window tints
flat black paint job
oil change
tires
better stereo unit
hitch or roof rack for the mountain bikes.....
and...

SAVE ON GAS!

my 86 2.5l had stock 4.10s the ax4 4 speed stick which by the way are just basically like a toyota tranny. that damn jeep could wheel but it was one slow turd on the freeway.and it only got 22mpg tops. ill never mess with a 2.5l again, way too underpowered. the 2.5l can be harder to find at junkyards too. gotta love the 2 doors.2wd sorta contradicts what a jeep is but if its gasmilage i wouldnt waste my time going front axle on it.youll only be 2-4 mpg better than a stock 4.0l 4x4 and slow as hell on the freway and hate going up hills at freeway speed.as it is right now you could see 25mpg; 2wd jeeps are lighter and faster:P drive it till it blows
