Yep, it's got the Dana 35 with ABS. Not a big deal for me since this is going to see only pavement, so I really don't care. Down the road if I can find an XJ Dana 44 for a good price I may pick it up and swap it in just for the hell of it.

IMHO, there's nothing wrong with having ABS on the road, I actually like that it's there. However, offroad, it's annoying.

When you're offroad, sometimes you want your tires to lock up, and with the ABS it doesn't always work out that way, especially during a decent down a hill or something.

everytime I have locked mine up, (I don't have ABS) it has been no good cuz I still slid. I would rather have a control slid due to the ABS then an unconstrolled slid cuz my tires can't grip.

By early August I'll have 4.56 gears and will be locked f/r. I don't have the cashflow to go through with the other plans I had for it like a full cage, rear bumper (may just fab one up), harnesses, etc etc.
Didn't mean the MT thing as an insult, was just simply saying that it works better.

Oh that would be sweet. Why only 4.56. Would 4.88 compramise your road driving too much?
I didn't take it as an insult. I just have a dry sense of humor.

I have seen too many guys in my club have issues with 4.88's in their D30's, and the guys with 4.56's don't seem to have the same issues (blow their gears), so I'm going to play it more on the safe side. The difference won't be that significant between the 4.56s and 4.88's and when I move up to 35's the 4.56s will still work well for me.
