so far this winter I have added 35" boggers

made a new set of intergraded slider and shaved the bottom of the ARB a little . There are more slider pics here http://www.cherokeetalk.com/forum/f18/intergraded-rock-sliders-8451/#post104268 . I started that Thread first than had a couple people ask some questions about the rig , so then I started this thread

and now I'm getting ready to change the axle side bushings in the D30 again so I thought I would upgrade to jonny joints and build a truss at the same time . now I have to make the truss....

I like the shave job you did on the bumper. More clearance and i think it looks better.

just put the 35's on this winter so I have not really wheeled them yet but they are only around 7lbs heavier per tire than the LTB's .I never had any trouble last year with the D30 . I am also going to add the Iron Rock offroad almost alloys.

Most of the trouble with a D30 on 35's is that the ears rip apart on the outer shafts and most ring and pinion fail with a lunch box locker in the stock weak carrier (to much carrier flex) , or people with a full carrier lockers don't report the ring and pinion failing as much as those with lunch box lockers

I wish I could but my state has real tough laws (fender flares , tire height , bla , bla , bla) I already have to have to get my sticker on 235's and even with those I'm at max "frame" height . there is no way you could have more than an 1" or 2" of the tire sticking past the flare and succesfully drive by jonny law.... I really don't plan on going past 35's at the moment and with the rear "built" I was thinking about one of the Mopar 2nd Gen D44 (JK D44 setup for TJ/XJ ect. , Thats 12" Brakes /32 spline shafts/1350 u-joints and the new 8.8" ring gear)

What kind of locker you planning on dropping in your new axle? How do you like the spool your using now? I was asking because i really wanted to spool the new axle im getting ready to put in, but i like the idea to much of it having street capabilities.

here is a link to the front axle Dynatrac New Generation, High-Performance Dana 44 Axle Assemblies for 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler . I would just used the rubicon locker that comes with it , or at least for now . As far as the spool goes , I Like it . I used to run a Detroit SofLocker and hated it ! it was not real street friendly (acted like a spool Offroad though) it would lock/unlock unpredictably , it was just not "fun" to drive on the road . the spool IS perdictable on the road although I don't drive it in the winter months , so opion is based mostly on "bare" pavement .

I finally had time to paint the sliders and picked up a hand throttle
