hey man, build what ya got. looks like a cool idea...as far as the interior cage, i'd prolly run some tube to the b-pillars, to help keep the body stiff when you cut a bunch out of it. also, i'd go 4.88 gears...it'll handle the crawling a little better, and also be all set if you go to 35's. looks good, and keep taking pics as you go.

just caught that part I did not see that he wanted to cut the rear... sorry man... but I got it now...

Default New Rubbers

Got the 34's on this weekend, love the look!
Also helped my buddy put a new front end in his V8 WJ and he gave me the knuckles and driver's side brakes off of the donor axle for helping him do all the work. Those will be going on sometime in the future.

Haven't done a lot lately. Had to throw a new starter in yesterday. Then got a couple steering shafts from the jy the current one has about 3/4" of play in it, need to put another in ASAP. Started stripping everything off the 8.8. Rode with a couple buddies to the Badlands in Attica, IN this weekend and it was fun as hell. Got me excited to work on the jeep so I can take it down there in a couple months. Will post some pics when I get a chance.

Default Front Bumper Build

Well I've had a lot of time on my hands and the steel has just been sitting there so I descided it was time to build a front bumper.

This is what I have so far.

Frame brackets are pretty long.

The ends will look something like this with some tube. The top tubes will have a radius at the ends to follow the contour of the edge of the header panel.

Eventually when I have the money to buy a winch I will be doing the "hidden winch" style mount. I wanted to keep the bumper as close to the grille as I could.

Default HideAway Winch Bumper

Been very busy at work so things on the jeep have been going a little slow, but got the center section of the bumper finished just need to bend one more piece of tube and throw the tube ends on this week.

This little guy got dropped off to my door step last week. Plan on doing the hidden winch style mount behind the bumper.

Maybe this will help me get everything done a little quicker, or not.

Default Winch is finally on!

Got the winch mounted up yesterday. I still have to relocate the control box and do a couple other little things but I burried the Jeep and tested it out and it works great.

Been working on this thing a lot, got a bunch of little stuff done. We're going to the Badlands on Friday the 16th so I've been busting ass.

Relocated the winch control box and the plug is now mounted in cab.

Got my rail shifter mounted and wired up. This thing works amazing, hill climbs are a lot better.

Made some bump stops.

Started on my belly skid tonite, still lots more plate to come. I am building off the stock X member, all made of 1/4".
