Default Camping

Was camping this weekend...Did more working on a dead Jeep then anything else though...And of coarse, the rain decided to randomly dump on us out of nowhere every once in a while too, but hey, it still beats going to work!

And just when we think we've got it fixed, the sky opens up and the Jeep dies again, and we had to pull him back to camp...

And a few shots of the land...

And a couple of MY Jeep for good measure...

Later.

Well, first we changed the fuel filter, hoping it was just clogged. No luck. Next we put in a new o2 sensor, and it was running quite nicely, but then after about half an hour...Dead. Next we replaced the fuel pump. Once we got it out of the tank we could see it was puking out some metal. We got it all buttoned back up and the thing was running better then it ever has since the guy bought it. Tons of power, idling smother then ever before....
We let it run for an hour or so, at idle and various RPM's. Seemed good, so we took it up and down the trail to the camp site for about 20 minutes. Running great! So we headed out to his some trails and about half an hour in we hear "Oh-oh" over the CB. The Jeep died again and now it won't even start. I had to go home because I had to work today, but the other guys have a couple of days off still, so I don't know where it's at right now, or if they've figured out the problem....

What about Pinconning Cheese from Michigan?

BTW, I saw one of the most awesome things while visiting my inlaws at their campsite this past Sunday......I big hawk swooped down and snatched a chipmunk from the ground only about 20 feet from where we were sitting and shooting the breeze in our chairs!
