Well, I'll be passing through Tillamook (or however you spell it) some time tomorrow as I make my way down the Oregon coast. I know they've got good cheese!

Yes they do. Be sure and visit the cheese factory and the blimp air hangers. Can't miss those from a distance.

I have to stop there. Wife likes ice cream and they have good ice cream, and lots of it, and she knows it...which means if I don't stop, it'll be a long drive afterwords

I was going to suggest a stop in Lincoln City, one of our favorite places to play. Also if you make it down as far as Florence, you can access the beach there and drive on it for a ways as well as some semi tame dunes, and well some big ones too. North Bend has a nice 12 mile stretch of beach and dunes.
