Default Southwest Tour

Well guys/gals, its that time a year again when I will be going away for a bit. Most of you that have known me for a bit know that I did a Northwest tour last summer. This year I am planning a Southwest Tour. I am graduating college tomorrow. So I plan on making this one a little longer as long as the weather holds out. I am actually leaving Monday! When I get back, I will have a full write up and a ton of photos! Make sure you update me of what I missed when I get back.

Rounded, this trip will be around 4500 miles. 1000 miles shorter then my trip last year. I will be taking a newer Ford Explorer for comfort and because my Jeep is under the knife right now.

Places I plan on visiting (in order off the top of my head):
Garden of the Gods - CO
Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve - CO
Mesa Verde National Park - CO
Four Corners Monument
Grand Canyon National Park - AZ
Zion National Park - UT
Bryce Canyon National Park - UT
Capitol Reef National Park - UT
Canyonlands National Park - UT
Arches National Park - UT
Black Canyon National Park - CO
Rocky Mountain National Park - CO
Then Home!

Jake, try to hit Canyon De 'Shay' on the way though Four Corners. It's Absolutely breathtaking!

I have been all over the west haha. Im not super big on California if thats where you are talking about 4.3L. Actually I have only been to Southern California and I heard thats why I have my ill misconceptions of it haha. Last year when I did my Northwest tour, I was going to hit up Yosemite right away but the park told me good luck because people book 6 months in advance

As far as Canyon de Chelly and Monument Valley, my plans are to def. try and make it through there on my way from Grand Canyon to Zion. OverlandXJ actually told me about the place months ago and got me kinda hooked haha.
