63ish international scout
me and dad picked up a free 63ish international scout from a while from where we live, for free! The axels, engine, and transmission is worthless, were going to take the motor, axels, and transmission out of a old GMC Jimmy, and put it in the international. This rig has a lot of work that needs to be done to it but it has a lot of potential, i hope we get started on this and actualy finish it unlike a few of our projects, i will load up pics when i can, im pretty sure he got it so he go wheeling with me and not tair up his 2500HD (which we used to get it home with)! I dont know his exact plans for it, and yse the hole top comes off!

I found this one by doing a google search. Search for international forum, and you should find some.

My dad had a scout just like that when I was a kid. That thing would climb a wall in 4 low. It had a little 4 banger but was geared way low. I think you could actually take off from a dead stop in 3rd. Top end wide open was only about 55 max, down hill, with a tail wind! I remember it weighed a ton and all the sheet metal was very thick. Memories!!

yeah thats sweet man, my uncle used to have one when I was growing up. It seems everyone kind of knows someone that used to have any vehicle through some degree. All I can remember was that it was very sturdy, loud, and slow. But I do remeber it also pulling out my old mans full size chevy from a big mud hole and having no problem. Congratulations, buddy thats a pretty cool machine.
