Default 86 toyota crank but no start?

Anybody know anything about these trucks? I have a friend whos truck all of a sudden wont start but it is cranking. Im going to look at it tomorrow, but can somebody give me a couple things I should look at while im there?

Well...if there are any Samurai people in the area, chances are the stole some parts in the middle of the night! Sammy People love Toy parts!!

Other then that, just look for the basics...Start with fuel and spark...I don't remember, are 86's injected, Carbed, or that silly semi computerized setup?

Im not even sure I do jeeps and american made older cars, not much into the foreign gig. Just looking for some ideas.

There are so many reasons why a toy whont start i dont know were to start. start with spark,timeing,gas, my guess is spark.or timeing

Turns out it needed a new timing chain.

I've got a 4Runner, with 112,000 and the original timing belt. I'm a big do-it-yourselfer, but something about timing belts makes me nervous. Luckily it's a non-interference motor so if it goes it shouldn't (if I'm not mistaken) damage any of the internals.
