What is the fastest you've driven in reverse
in reverse? I went 45mph in a 85 Chevy Celebrity before I crashed into a huge farmers ditch Then got pulled out by a V8 s10! Mind you, I am not that crazy anymore and I was 16 on a road out in the middle of nowhere with no traffic.

I once drove 98 mph on I-79 coming from Erie, chasing a mustang in my 94 Cutlass Supreme.
I hardly ever go over 65 in the jeeps though. Fifty Five is my usual speed.

raceing is you and your car against the clock not the other car , in fact there are no people in the stands , no one else is at the track but you and the tree

38 in a 1947 Farmall A modified with a v6 Cummins. The gearbox went into a second 1:1 box that only had Forward, Neutral (PTO) and Reverse, ergo it had four speeds in reverse... scary as **** let me tell you.
Also drove in my Uncle's 1940 Olds right after he'd welded spring perches to his brand new 9"... 50-something backwards in fourth gear, he finally stopped swearing at the fact that he'd flipped the axle 180 degrees and had four speeds in reverse and one forward.

Never looked at the speedo while going backwards fast, but I did go 165MPH in my old 69 roadrunner back in the day. I was on I95 in Philly, at 6am.
Almost wrecked it too, I was 18 & only driving for about a month.

Times have changed. I once did 117 racing a plymouth in my 73 Celica. Now, I had the cruise set at 95 last January on I10 in my Subaru XT. I was just keeping up with traffic.
