well in my area of lower MI we pretty much make our own trails, some places people will call the cops, other's not, it's kinda hit or miss. the only legal places i know of are the mounds and silver lake both of which i've never been to so i don't know haha

I know of a lot of trails. There are trails in grayling,Roscommon, Gaylord, West Branch, A few in the thumb, Houghton Lake. The ones in West Branch have a Jeep club that goes up there often in the summer AND winter. Try these links out. Some areas in the thumb are not really major places but offer a lot of sight seeing and dirt roads or two tracks some are in Caro and other places. The mounds are very expensive and have had a lot of problems with jerks running around there. Hope this helps. I know this guy posted a long time ago but this may help future people out up here in no man's land lol.
