I think we should have away to search CT and find people within our given area.
Using a Zip code(s), or doing it by State and county, or State and city/town. I think it would be very great, so that way CT members could go on trail runs together and get CT noticed. Just an idea. Let me know what you think.

We have this:
http://www.cherokeetalk.com/forum/f47/ but something using zip codes like you mentioned would be neat. It could search through the member database using the zip codes or locating people within so many miles of your location.

Zip code searches requires a lot of input to a system. An easier way would be to just divide up the areas into smaller ones. For instance the southwest area covers a lot of real estate. It is unlikely someone from Sacramento would get together with someone from Phoenix for a day run.

Yup we have a section down there, I would hope it could get used a bit more as it can be a very useful tool.

hum.... Hey Kyle, is there a moderator for each section of the map?
Cuz uh, I was thinking CT should have monthly runs and moderators should be able to set them up. Just away to get CT noticed Nation wide. Aint no better form of advertisement then a gang of XJs sportin the CT sticker on the trails.

i think that would be a great idea! seeing a gang of nothing but cherokees go out for once instead of wranglers would be awesome, i would have no problem being mod of a section or really if you want someone to try to get the whole "trail rides" thing going i would be glade to. What would be crazy awesome would be a CT yearly meet and greet ride or something, although since we are so scattered it would be hard.
But in general i think making CT into somewhat of a 4x4 club would be a good idea. BTW my nieghborhood would be New England...even though PA isnt technically in new england
