Default High Performance Fender Flares for the XJ

We are offering Jeep Cherokee owners a new option in high performance fender flares and have introduced the V2 Fender Flares for the Jeep Cherokee XJ 1997 - 2001, 4 door.

The V2 Fender Flares are heavy duty, oversized, and cut-out style fender flares. They are made from the industry standard, rigid ABS plastic. But the V2 Fender Flares are 50% thicker to withstand abuse on the trail or street. I saw a need for better quality fender flares when the expensive set of aftermarket fender flares on my Jeep Cherokee XJ shattered on their first trail ride. After hearing that this was common I developed fender flares that would hold up to trail use, look great on the street, and still be affordable.

As a result, the V2 Fender Flares can withstand a "crush test" that involves parking a Jeep Cherokee on one of the fender flares, blend much better with the look of the Jeep Cherokee, and are still competitively priced. Similar fender flares are destroyed in the Crush test. The V2 Fender Flares stands up to the abuse and bounces back after the punishment

The V2 Fender Flares are 50% thicker than fender flares from other companies to resist abuse on the trail or street. They extend out around 3.25" which is the perfect width to cover most popular oversize tires and maintain an aggressive stance without sticking out too far. Also, these fender flares are the popular "cut-out style" that maximizes the wheel well opening allowing for larger tires and more articulation.

Jeep Cherokee Owners have already been impressed with the performance of the V2 Fender Flares.
Jake, Spokane, Washington – I can’t believe how sturdy these are once they are mounted. I have seen sets of (other brand) flares and I have to tell you man, these things are far superior!
Brian "Swampman", Ontario, Canada - So far I am super pleased with this product
Jay "Blacksheep01", Oklahoma – They are EXTREMELY thick and well worth the asking price. Thanks again Doug and best of luck.
Eric, Northern Idaho - I really like the look of these flares. Great job on making something IMO more tasteful for the XJ.

Is the back flare two pieces to accommodate the door? And I like that crush test picture. How do they hold up on impacts like sliding into a tree on a trail? That's my complaint with running flares similar to these. The thicker plastic might hold up better, I'm thinking.

I have a set of his prototypes and have hit them many times. Guess I've got to learn to drive better.

I hit the leading edge of the rear one hard enough against a spruce tree to push it back against the rear section, probably 3/8" or so and it didn't break or crack.

Here's a video of my buddy (my rig) crossing a brook on it's maiden voyage and you can see and hear the lugs of my LTB's catching it and pulling it away from the body, but it didn't break or pull screws or anything. I've since trimmed the front ones on the inside and they still are holding up well. All 4 of them have scuffs and scrapes on them, but it's easy to remove them, sand them and paint them when the time comes. Maybe this winter.

I'm very impressed and these I have are his first version, not the V2's.

Hey zr2, thanks for a great answer to the question! Yeah, so far no one has reported breaking a set of these fender flares in over 2 years. The major difference in the V2 is that minor cosmetic flaws were cleaned up that existed in the original prototypes. The ABS plastic still starts at 3/16". These fender flares are around 50% thicker than the other major brand. The V2s don't extend out as far so they don't get hit as often, or as hard. Plus, they are a slightly smaller profile which increases strength. I'm have to believe that these flares can be broken but they are tough!

NP, Doug, I just want to make sure you get the credit you desire for not only thinking about alternatives, but actually getting the molds and doing it. As always, good luck to you.

Hey, thanks for your interest. Right now we are not able to offer these fender flares for the two door XJ. As odd as it sounds, the back fender flares are so much larger that they require bigger equipment than we have available. When that problem is remedied then we'll have these for the two door.

I'll be sure and post up the news when they become available.

Doug

Hey, check out this new video post by Jake running the V2 Fender Flares. He's got a trial version that is modified to work with the folded rear quarter panel.

We moved just outside Charlestown, Indiana to a place called Otisco. Small dot on the map but it's close & the building was right!

We want to thank everyone that called and sent encouraging emails while the move was underway! Use Coupon Code "CHEROKEE" to get a 15% discount (limited quantity offer).
