is it doable without any trimming? i dont care about flex at the moment, this is until i get my 4.5" lift all set up.

Doubtful, you're going to rub on your fenders/flares while turning, and even a bump in the road may cause you to rub also.

Using a 4.5" angle grinder with a cut off wheel to cut the fenders is the best way to go. It's not too hard, and if you tape it off and create a border to cut against you'll be alright. I had never trimmed my fenders before and was nervous about it too but they came out looking good. If you're that nervous, draw/tape a border that will be your goal, and do a first run by cutting a .5" or 1" away from the main line, this way if you mess up or don't feel comfortable continuing you haven't made a mess and you left yourself with some space to make corrections.

scratch the 33's plan for now- i came across a set of Cragar D-hole steelies at the junkyard with 31x10.5" tires on em, and for 90 bucks i couldnt pass it up. bad part is, none of the tires are the same =(
but for 90 bucks? hell, the rims are worth more than that apiece

Nope! You'll be trimming big time! I had to go with 30's just so I didn't have to trim. 31's they say you may have to trim "slightly" and depending on the offset, if they sit in too far they could rub the control arms when turning. Don't go any larger than 32's with a 3 inch and even that leaves the chance of ripping off the stock flare when wheeling. Goodluck!

i did some mild wheeling with the crapola 31s that came with my Cragars, and i didnt have any rub. maybe its the near-complete lack of tread, but idk- i have an SE model (lighter GVW), so whats listed as a 3 inch lift may have netted me a bit more bc of the lighter overall weight. sad, but i never actually measured the net lift before and after i installed my kit.
