Axle swap from wrangler to cherokee
Is it possible to swap D30-front and D35-rear from 95 wrangler to 95 cherokee without modifications?

I wonder how close the mounts on the dana 30 would be... they should be pretty similar. But... yeah the dana 35 would have to be completly striped clean and redone. Im almost sure the steering will match up on the dana 30... i was told it would, im getting ready to try and put the tiebar and draglink from a cherokee on an 03 tj. They look identical.

1995 = YJ, leaf spring perches are not quite the same as 4 link brackets.
Why on earth you would want to put a YJ 30 under an XJ anyways is beyond me.
4 link dana 30's aren't exactly rare.

You will have to have the current brackets removed and new brackets welded on. It's more work than it's worth.
Aim for a chrysler 8.25 from another cherokee and any dana 30 from 97+ TJ or XJ. These would be bolt in with no modifications.

x2 on what Mud said. If you're looking at swapping axles, don't swap a 35 in.

low pinion isn't bad. the only reason people swap in HP is because of the extra inch or so of clearance you get on the back of the axle.

yes that is true, but it all depends on how much lift you are running... with alot of lift the ds angle is very steep and you will get a harsh ride that is why you switch to a hp...

With a lot of lift, you're going to run into a lot more problems before you need to worry about pinion angle.
All the more reason to build low-COG rigs.

You obviously don't have enough lift that your castor has gone to **** trying to keep the front driveshaft in check.
I also have so much droop available I can put the pinion u-joint at a very steep operating angle.
I wouldn't ever consider buying a lp 30 to swap or build up when hp 30's are lying around.
