muddeprived, I am looking to raise the rear of my xj at least 2". What is RC you talked about? I like the sound of the 50 bucks for shackles.

I think the dodge van leaves are from the 70s or 80s, but I'm not sure

I actually put some of the van leaves on this weekend. I got them off of a 2500 I think, it had no badging but some bad ass blue carpet inside. The shackle from the van will not work. Both sides run parallel, so it wouldn't fit in the XJ hanger. My shackle angle went from straight up and down to around 45 degrees. I used the chevy drop shackles from auto zone and other than some trimming I am gonna need to do rear of the shackle it was a pretty easy swap. Much softer ride too.

Guess I'm too cheap but was wondering if the drop shackle from AZ would work. It's by Superior Part Number: 13-4100. It indicates 2" drop.

Not sure if it makes a difference. Would you go this route or get a set from Rough Country. Seems to be about a $20 difference.

Your thoughts....

I have the RC shackles I like them they work great for the price.

I put chevy shackles on from 2009 chev pu they were a little beefier and about 1.5 inchs longer, they fit great.

are they 1.5" longer than stock? so that means .75" lift?

id also like to know if these would work and how much lift theyd give, RC shackles may be what i go with but AZ has em in stock at my local store

I dont know how much actual lift I got from them I changed them because one of my stock shackles was cracked. and I also added an extra leaf
